U8 - $750
Skier Essentials
Having fun while developing technical skiing skills in a structured and unstructured environment. This could include practicing good edging control and pole planting, working toward linking turns on steeper terrain with varied conditions, and skiing brush courses and bumps.
Poles are required and children must be able to confidently ski independently with assistance (if required) boarding the lift.
Athletes have the option to participate in one Northern Ontario Division Race that is hosted by our team.

Skier Essentials
Building stronger technical skiers in a fun environment on varied terrain and in a competition environment.
This will include fundamental movement, skill development and gate training and will follow the guidelines set out in Alpine Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) pathway, including the Skier Essentials and Learn to Train stages.
Athletes have the option to participate in three Northern Ontario Division Races.

U12 - $1050
Learn to Train
Combining technical skiing skills while having fun competing in a variety of competition environments including slalom and giant slalom. This could mean focusing on fundamental movement, skill development, gate training and terrain features.
This program aligns with the guidelines of Alpine Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) pathway, focused on the Learn to Train stage.
Athletes will participate in three Northern Ontario Division Races. There is an option to participate in additional Southern Ontario Division races (club invitation) or upon recommendation by coaches (this will involve extra costs beyond the three designated races).
50-65% should be spent with a free ski focus

Train to Train
Focusing on competitive team racing in a fun environment.
This program will focus on transferring fundamental techniques and technical skills into a competitive setting.
40-50% should be spent with a free ski focus

Dryland Training
All programs include dryland training
Mondays and Wednesdays 6-7pm starting on Sept 8
September – outdoor at the military base track (CFB North Bay)
October – indoor location TBC
Crossfit Training
U16 / U14 / U12 optional dryland at Crossfit 705
Sunday 10-11am – 10 sessions $120
Race Fees
The out of town races are and additional cost. Athletes will have to pay a race fee to enter the race and share the cost of the coach’s expenses (travel, food, hotel) with all athletes who attend.
The cost of the coach’s wage is built into the registration fee, and there will not be coaching at home during the planned races for athletes who do not attend.
Pre-Season Camps
Alberta – Nov 16-22
NBSRC is planning a pre-season camp in Cannmore Alberta. The athletes will be staying in Canmore and skiiang at either Sunshine or Lake Louise (depending on conditions) the purpose of the camp is to free-ski as many runs as possible through different terrain. An NBSRC coach will be in attendance.
Mt St Louis – Dec 12-14
In this camp we will be running drills and try to get lane space to set gates for the kids who attended the Alberta camp.
If this is the athletes first camp, the focus will be on free-skiing as many runs as possible.
Christmas Camp
NBSRC will be hosting a Christmas camp on Dec 27-30. Cost is $25/day drop-in (choose any days).
